Debby Karemera has over nine years of experience in peacebuilding and counseling with Never Again Rwanda (NAR). Her expertise spans a wide array of crucial areas including trauma healing, genocide prevention, conflict management, and peacebuilding. Throughout her tenure at NAR, Debby has held several key roles, such as Peace Education Unit Manager and Head of Peacebuilding and Genocide Prevention.
Among her various responsibilities, she has excelled in co-facilitating safe spaces for peace, these groups encompassing diverse categories including youth, women, and the wider community. She has played a crucial role in organizing and coordinating NAR’s bi-annual Peacebuilding Institute, specifically designed to engage university students and young professionals globally.
Debby currently holds the dual role of Peacebuilding Institute Coordinator and Strategic & Technical
Advisor.
